Udzungwa Mountains

Rising up from the Western edge of Selous game reserve, the Udzungwa Mountains are the home to the Red Colobus monkeys along with other endangered species of animals and plants unique to the park. Elephants, Buffaloes, Leopards can also be seen.

The National Park has a mountainous terrain and a beautiful forest teeming with bird life. The stunning view or the mountains and the Indian Ocean coastline in the distance are well worth the visit. Better yet, Udzungwa National park has no roads so hikers have the park all to themselves! Popular Hikes are to the Sange Waterfalls and to Lhombero the Highest Peak of Udzungwa Mountains.(2579 mt ). The Park is only 60 Km from Mikumi.
