Arusha Safari Park
Arusha Safari Park is one of the least visited National Parks in Tanzania. This is because on the the Northern circuit most of the visitors are heading to the nearby Serengeti and Ngorongoro. There are no lions in Arusha National Park but other large mammals including elephant and giraffe are well represented.
Ngurdoto Crateran intact 3km wide, 400m deep caldera that is reminiscent of a smaller Ngorongoro. Entering the crater is not permitted but the views from the rim are fantastic and the game can be spotted on the crater floor.
. It is possible to go an a canoe safari around one of the Mormella lakes. This is a great way to get very close to the numerous water birds. Day trips from from Arusha Town are possible making this a superb first destination to begin your Tanzania safari.
